OTHER PLACES TO STAY: 3 Miles from HQ's: http://www.tapocolodge.com/contact.html or http://www.fontanavillage.com/ or search hotels in Robbinsville N.C. 2009 Tenth Annual Kawasaki Triples Worldwide Deal's Gap 2-Stroke Meet PLACE: Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort TIME: May 4 ~ May 10 (Mon. ~ Sun.) - (which is a six night stay) All invited, especially 2-strokes ! GET ROOMS HERE TO STAY AT HQ's: THE DEALS GAP MOTORCYCLE RESORT HOW TO GET A ROOM Respond here on this post just as I have in the next post below: 1. your name (first & Last), 2. your arrival date and departure date,and 3. if you prefer a standard room or a large room. Do not write anything else on that particualar response. Do not use this thread to post anything else. Start another thread. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING RATES I'm sorry but I don't have a rate nailed down. Normally the standard & aprartment rooms are $59.99 & $79.99 respectively with an additional $10 for each person over two people in the room. In the past I have managed to get no charge for additional people in the room. AVAILBILITY: All fourteen rooms are available. 12 Standard size rooms & 2 large apartment rooms. The rooms are in my name. This is done so we can get all the rooms on the same series of days and so the hotel will books us as a group this far in advance. OBLIGATION NOTE: Please.....Please....do not speak up for a room so you'll have one just in case you can go. Get a room only if you're sure you are going to show up. If you get a room and don't show up it may be given to someone else. Try to get a room for the entire week, or as much as possible. If you can only stay a day or two or three, try to room up with someone getting the whole week or at one of the other places to stay as listed below. Things happen and people have to change plans. Hence, it's understandable for anyone to drop out if you lose a child. But that's it, if your mother or wife dies or you'll loss your job...too bad. Jezzz...be reasonable ! Sometime in March of 2009 I will give the hotel the list of names of those who've spoken for a room. At that time I will notify those people by Private Message to call the hotel and have their room placed on their credit card. Each room will be placed under a single credit card. That is, the hotel will be working with a single purchaser of each room. If you share with others you must get your money from those you are sharing with. Do not go to the hotel telling them you are only responsible for one-fourth of the room. Once you've spoken for a room you are the sole person responsible to the hotel for paying for that room. NOTE: If it turns out you can't go (i.e. loss of child), please PLEASE don't call the hotel and cancel. Tell me so I can call the hotel and get the room back in my name; otherwise the hotel will see the room as being given up by KTW and will then give the room to just anyone (like some icky harley guys or something). ADDITIONALLY: Please understand that all this comes from a long standing arrangment with the hotel. The more simple it is for the hotel the more willing they are to rent the whole place this far in advance. And, the more likely they will give us a break on the rates. So, please don't be calling the hotel except when I advise you too in March '09. Finally, please be understanding if there's any screw ups. We've had only a couple minor screw ups in nine years so you shouldn't expect one. But please be understanding if a problem occurs. If you want to complain just let me know and I will have a few Marines come directly to your house to work things out. FINALLY: Stick around the board once in a while to stay in touch. Check you PM's in the March 2009 time period for calling the hotel. Try to share and make room for some of your fellow board members. AGAIN: request a room just as I have done below..... |
