Hi all. I'm glad to be back after waaay too long. My project is finally moving foreward again. H2 engine in 1990 ZX-7 chassis. I know this will horrify all the purists , but I got tired of modding the stock chassis with no real handling gains. This is the very beginning of this project. Engine is cases only. No internals in it at this point except the output shaft. I have all engine parts except for a couple small bits. Working out engine mounts(Suzi silent blocks), offset sprocket, exhaust routing, etc. etc. etc. Hope all are well. Ning-Ning-Ning!!! Any thoughts, help, criticism appreciated.

oh lets see , that kicker looks bitchin >really like how that looks

looking at her over from the left side, engine looks almost like it belongs there :) , except for one part of her, would suggest maybe a shave of sorts on the back end of the chaincase cover  after the engine is final fitted where is will stay

Thanks guys. The kicker is a KX500 unit. I drilled/tapped 6/1.0 in bottom and use a bolt to lock it to kick shaft. Looks like output shaft sprocket needs 1.25" offset. Think I'll need an outboard bearing support to make it happy. Pipes will be last hurdle I believe. Gonna drill my '75 H2 cases for Suzi rubbers. It's hanging from H2 stock upper rear engine mount brackets used on top and bottom rear(only for testing engine position).

That's also my "fix" for stripped out splines (OR - if you want to prevent it)on a kicker boss - you can "hide" that fix by using a 6mm allen head set screw if you don't like the bolt head sticking out/catching on anything. You just need to be sure you don't go too far into the shaft so you don't weaken it.

Ok so now I have all wiring done using H2C wiring harness. I'll fab a complete harness later. H2 clutch and throttle cables modded to fit ZX7 switch housings. H2 tach in ZX7 guage cluster. Gonna try the stock tach later. I think it will work as the ZX7 uses two pickup coils each firing once per rev. My local master machinist made my offset front sprocket with nose for outboard bearing support plate. Support plate in the works now. I'm figuring the engine mounting location/ rubber mounting/ chain roller/ slipper, etc. I'm getting closer to having a ridable triple!!!

I'll post more pics soon. Gotta shrink the pics down a little.

:D :D :D

Ok so here are a few pics of the bike as it is now. Not as close to done as it may/may not look. Still need to make the outboard bearing support plates, rubber motor mounts, chain slider, and on and on but making progress. Outboard bearing on order be here in two days then I can start the carrier plates design. Pipes are just mocked up for the pics carbs not clamped(drooping center carb) but all wiring, cables hooked up and working. Clutch cable not installed in these pics. Like the rust on the pipes? I know I do! My precious FBGs bought new now LOOK theyre lighter after the rust is removed! :D

Oh btw I do have a plastic frame slider mounted under the chain off the rear side stand mount bolt which keeps the chain off (barely) the lower motor mount. Still need to rethink that area.

Any suggestions (scrap it!) appreciated

Yeah I'll prolly have to make a custom strip of slider plastic(can't remember the compound they use) or get a used one off egay to play with.
