Hi
yes i saw ralf's bike sometime ago and the video that is why i want to build a bike like that. his bike is awesome but i dont speak german but i see how he mounted his motor he did a grate job on his bike. and i like the center pipe routed up and over the motor very nice indeed. i am trying to have the bike done for spring so i have around 5 months to do it.
thanks for the insperation to keep me waiting to keep going on this build.

Yeah I'll prolly have to make a custom strip of slider plastic(can't remember the compound they use) or get a used one off egay to play with.

Kewl project!!!

The plastic you will want to use is called UHMW It stands for Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene... It's cheap and is one of the best plastics for wear.

BTW, will you have to pay ZX7 insurance or do they consider it a custom? The reason I ask is I pay $35 a month for my 400 but a ZX7 would cost me $100 a month in my area…

Hey thanks Walms and SuzukiDave for the plastic info. All help appreciated.

I was gonna use Bakelite but it may be too flexible for this application!

The material is UHMW. It is a highly impact resistant material that has super anti-abrasion propertys. This material is easily purchased through McMaster Carr and is easily machinable. Go to their web site and enter this # into the search box and read the specs. 9329K23
