True, but farther yet to go before she pulls her own weight, and mine...Hopefully...

It's always something with her: I need more parts! I need more labor! Put your back into it! Waaaa! You don't spend enough time with me. You don't understand my needs. Waaaaaa! When will it end?

:D

Thanks Mark. Thanks Chris. It's only roughed out well enough to bolt up last nite. Final shape not quite there yet. Drill Presses & Hacksaws RULE! [You can keep all your fancy CNC contraptions] :D

I was tryin to make myself feel better about the methods I have to resort to. I still have moist dreams of automation...ahhh automation. CNC is a beautiful dream. Years ago(dating myself here) I used to see ads in popular mechanics in the back of the mag for this little drill/mill/lathe called the smithy. they were asking 1k for the thing and I STILL want one!

Ok, well I just googled smithy and it's still in existence:

and look...I appear to already have the damn thing! Howd they get that pic?!

Mike,
Great project. I have been planning a H1 in a modern chassis for some time. I'm using a 2001 ZX7.

I was wondering if you ever spoke to Paul Walter the guy that did one in '93? I wonder how he did his with no cradle or down tubes, and I wonder how it worked. I was also thinking about how the drag guys do thier drive sprockets, you have a good solution for sure.

I would really like to talk to you about the project, please PM me and maybe we can discuss more.

Thanks, Dave
