The stubborn right cylinder on my S3A.

You can see where I got impatient and whacked a chunk out of the lower fin.

That was before I realized how tough this one was going to be. I had read of people taking months to get a stuck cylinder off but it couldn't happen to me!

Well I've lost track, it's at least 9 months since I started.

I tried WD40, PB Blaster, heat / wax, heat / hammer, 50/50 ATF-Acetone, hitting, prying... I was about to split the cases and try to reproduce Falconman's avatar! What I found is called Free All, I got it from my local Royal Purple distributor (Awesome product line!). I sprayed it down the stud hole and in the small gap at the base gasket. I pulled and twisted and pried like I had been doing, still not coming loose. But it did feel different, like it was starting to free up. I can't say for sure if it was this "magic" stuff or just a new approach, but I found a new angle to smack it with a 2x4 / sledge from below, at the right intake manifold stud. It was a total of less than an hour from the time I first sprayed it until I put it on the bench. I am very happy and this should accelerate my S3 progress!

Look how clean the other studs are.
You can see a dry area on the stud (near right)
